Welcome to everywhere! My name is John and this is my blog. Actually, I can say that about two other blogs that I have. But those blogs are specific - one dedicated to my daughter and one dedicated to the Dodgers.

This blog will be dedicated to.......I don't know.

Okay, I have an idea what it will be dedicated to. This blog will be the place for whatever thoughts come into my mind that I feel like writing about. Boring! Unless you're a close friend or relative, that's what you are thinking right now. You're thinking, "Great, another blog about someone's random thoughts about whatever. Sounds exciting. There are none of those kinds of blogs out there. Gee, let's see what some guy named uh, John, thinks about politics or the latest major news event or something that happened in his life. I'm dying to know! Like I don't have anything going on in my life! But, as for John, he's......." Okay, okay, chill out.

Yes, there will be some of that in this blog but this blog will primarily be about something bigger than my life. It will be about our life. Our history. In this blog, we will be taking a walk through history...specifically the history of the United States of America. How long will this journey take? Who knows. One year...two years...one decade...two decades......I could be typing a blog entry on my death bed at age 102. No guarantees on this one. Log in a few months from now, count the number of blog posts, divide by the number of days or weeks that have past, then extrapolate from there.
